Church of the good Sheppard
About
The good Sheppard church was built towards the end of the 19th century to serve the rural communities who couldn't afford ST Marys pew rents. it's a product of the Anglo-Catholic movements and maintains that tradition still. However it now serves the growing community of the north east chard.
we are in the process of selling our very dilapidated hall which has been home to many community organisations. we are also planning to open new community rooms within the back of the church which will offer up to the minute facilities suitable for modern needs. we have close relationships particularly with Avishayes School where the rector, gather Colin is a governor. he is also the Anglican Chaplin to Chard Hospital.
